Introduction
Semiconductor and dispaly industry is getting important for us to live more comfortably and
enjoyably, and contribute economic development. For a sustainable development of the industry,
green manufacturing should be stressed. In other words the pollutants generated from the industry
should be minimized and treated properly. International Symposium on Green and Sustainable
Technology (ISGST-SDI) will be a forum alerting the importance of the issue and providing possible
solutions relevant to green manufacturing of semiconductor and display industry. This symposium
covers strategic plans to reduce pollutants in the industry as well as scientific and technological
development in minimizing air and water pollutants generated from the industry. In addition the
symposium will deal with energy saving technology during production of semiconductor and display
devices.
